Wapiti Medical Staffing places health care practitioners in short-term, long-term, locum tenens, and perm placement positions throughout the United States. We have opportunities available for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and CRNA. Work full-time with Wapiti or pick up periodic shifts to supplement your income.
Company History
It all started in 1996 in a small rural hospital in Iowa. Our founder, a resident at the time, was told he would be responsible for the ER schedule at that facility. There was not a grand plan to be a staffing company, but it became the start of something special. From its humble start in Iowa, Wapiti expanded to neighboring states, always focusing on rural healthcare. Our motivation has always been and continues to be maintaining close relationships with our providers and our partner facilities.
In 2012, Wapiti teamed with Siouxland Staffing Services under the Wapiti name. In 2018, Wapiti acquired Emergency Practice Associates (EPA), a medical staffing company based in Waterloo, Iowa. Wapiti currently has offices in Milbank, SD; Huron, SD; Rapid City, SD; Salt Lake City, UT; and Cedar Falls, IA.
Today, Wapiti is one of the largest medical staffing firms in the upper Midwest, and we can candidly state that we are great at what we do. We are a multi-year recipient of Inavero's Best of Staffing® Award, putting Wapiti Medical Staffing in the top 2% of all staffing groups nationwide.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
For six consecutive years, Wapiti has been awarded the Best of Staffing® Client and Talent Awards for providing superior service to clients (i.e., Wapiti partner facilities) and talent (i.e., Wapiti providers). Wapiti is also recognized as a Diamond Award recipient in each category. Diamond Award winners have won the Best of Staffing Award at least 5 years in a row, consistently earning industry-leading satisfaction scores.
