Patients who have been diagnosed by their doctor with a chronic condition, know what their condition is and what to do about it. But they have many other questions that our overworked doctors can be too busy to answer. These are questions that nurses have traditionally answered. We are looking for caring, experienced, talented nurses to help patients with informational support, and with emotional support.

At Talk2ANurse.com, you will work remote. You will be your own boss and make your own hours – working any days or hours you see fit. Hours worked are defined as those hours you spend on audio or video calls with patients. For this time you will earn $10/hour more than your current hourly rate, based on your recent paystubs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Nurses will answer medical questions, provide care advice and help patients determine if they should see a doctor right away.
• Help patients understand their medications.
• Help patients learn about preventive care.
• As a clinical resource advocate, you will help patients decide what to do next.
• Advise patients whether they need to see a doctor given their symptoms.
• Advise patients whether they need to go to an urgent care center or ER given their symptoms.
• Provide advice on the type of doctor that may be right for the patient's medical condition.
• Routine pre-op and post-op care.
• Counsel and educate new/existing patients on specialty drug therapies.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current unrestricted compact state license or primary licensure in any US state. Only users located in the state or states where you are licensed will be referred to you.
• Must have at least two years of experience in at least one medical specialty.
• Effective orally and in written communication.
• Must have a computer, smartphone or tablet with Internet access.
• Note: our nurses do not diagnose or prescribe so we are unable to work with Nurse Practitioners at this time.

How Talk2ANurse.com Operates

You can work any days/hours you wish. There is no minimum or maximum. Do what is right for you.

Patients come to the site with urgent questions. The site only shows them Nurses who are licensed to provide telehealth in their state, including eNLC Compact licenses.

The patient selects a Nurse and clicks a "CALL NOW" button. And, it rings directly through to your own phone or smartphone, just like a regular phone call. The patient's time on the call is noted and their credit card is charged afterwards. A check to you is then mailed out subsequently.

You can enter on the Accounts page, the days and hours when you are available to take calls from patients. The site never shows your phone number to the patient.
